Chest Rub Salve

All of our salves are handcrafted from all natural ingredients including coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, and essential oil(s). They are great to help heal dry skin, chapped lips, and more.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil: This essential oil offers a very herbaceous scent with soft woody undertones and has many benefits for your respiratory health. As a powerful anti-inflammatory and decongestant, it loosens phlegm and clears congestion to reduce sinus pressure and allow for easier breathing. Its cooling and soothing properties also help relieve uncontrollable coughing. Eucalyptus oil has even been shown to help with bronchitis, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It can also help relieve allergies and boost your immune system. Along with this, it is also good for: pain relief, mind health, skin health, and a healthy home. 

Peppermint Essential OIl: In traditional herbalism, practitioners may use peppermint to: kill germs, stop itching, relieve pain, prevent or reduce vomiting, help the body eliminate mucus, reduce muscle spasms, reduce flatulence, and boost blood circulation. 

Lemon Essential Oil: Lemon essential oil releases a clean fresh scent that can aid with relieving stress and anxiety. It is a perfect mix with the eucalyptus and peppermint. Many find lemon essential oil to be a very calming oil. Studies have shown that plants with a high citrus content like lemon have high levels of inflammation-fighting antioxidants. 

Coconut oil is incredibly moisturizing and contains caprylic acid along with other compounds that provide strong antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Because it is made up of medium chain fatty acids it helps to reduce dryness and allow your skin to retain moisture. It provides a protective barrier, helping shield skin from environmental toxins, dirt and other icky stuff you’re faced with everyday. This oil has a soothing, calming effect and can help reduce temporary redness when it pops up. If you’re prone to irritations or sensitivity, coconut oil can help to alleviate any discomfort and provide soothing relief.

Cocoa Butter contains a high amount of fatty acids, which make it well-suited as a primary ingredient in skin cream. Fatty acids help to hydrate the skin. The fat in cocoa butter creates a protective barrier that holds in moisture and prevents your skin from drying.

Beeswax contains anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties as well. Beeswax contains Vitamin A, which helps protect skin cells from environmental irritants while helping to regulate skin regeneration. If you suffer from dry skin itchiness, dermatitis or eczema, beeswax helps heal these conditions while at the same time providing itch relief. 

Directions: Gently massage into the skin.
